The first listing from my Celtic series
I started acid etching a few months ago and knew it was something I wanted to develop further. My friend Cathy makes Celtic cards and stationery (http://www.venus-is-a-cat.co.uk/), and very kindly gave me permission to reproduce her designs in a different medium.
Knot 49 was etched into sterling silver, and the pendant was then slightly domed and oxidised to bring out the detail from the design.
The pendant measures 1 inch in diameter (2 1/2 cms) and is ever so slightly square in shape because of the four arches in the design.
The bail is a tube shape, soldered onto the back for the chain to run through.
The pendant hangs on an 18 inch sterling silver snake chain.
